The Doctors and Staff at Richmond Road Medical Centre

We would like to introduce our team. We work together to make your visits comfortable and ensure excellent and professional care.

Doctors

The Doctors at Richmond Road are specialists in General Practice care. Having a close relationship with your own Doctor has many benefits and we recommend this to all our patients. We want you to be happy with the Doctor you see more regularly so this may change as you needs change. We offer a range of specialist skills and may suggest you see another Doctor within the Practice. Referrals can also be made, if required, within the wider medical community. This ensures your best care.

Our team also work in youth health clinics, hold teaching and assessment roles for the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, are members of local and national advisory boards, contribute to research projects in primary care, provide rest home care, remote medical care to fishing boats and provide police support. These are ways we are able to contribute to the wider community and initiatives that help us remain in touch with our community’s needs.

OUR STORY

Welcome to the Richmond Road Medical Centre

We are a team that works with great care and respect to support and safeguard your health. Our staff offer a range of specialist skills, and we all participate in postgraduate education programs that promote greater knowledge and vocational development.

The RRMC holds the highest standard of accreditation from the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

The practice is well supported by local health practitioners and the wider medical community. These positive relationships provide a rich source of knowledge and practical help for our patients when needed.

RRMC has a long history of engagement with our local community. We have a long association with nearby schools, other local medical professionals and with the various ethnic groups in Grey Lynn.

Recent Renovation

In 2017 Richmond Road Medical centre undertook a major renovation of the surgery. This has improved conditions for patients, and enabled us to offer extended services, including minor surgery and travel medicine. The renovation is now complete and we have lovely and welcoming rooms and an increased capacity to meet the needs of the growing population within our community.

Re-opening

In April 2018, following the rebuild, the Richmond Road Medical Centre was reopened by the Prime Minister of New Zealand the Right Honorable Jacinda Ardern.

Waiata

To celebrate the re-opening our local kaumatua Taura Eruera composed, arranged and gifted the following waiata to our practice team. It defines our actions and our purpose.
